AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AMENDING CHAPTER 12
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON PERTAINING TO WARD BOUNDARIES
FOLLOWING ANNEXATIONS
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
ton 1. The City Code, Chapter 12 is hereby amended by adding now sections
as follows:
Sec. 12-38. Extension of Wards to Annexed Arvos, Voluouto Annexation.
If till III-ell of land is voluntarily annexed to the('ity, unless otitenose provided in the
annexing ordinance:
A. If(lie annexed►rrea borders only one ward of the('11y,that 11onexed area shall
become, upon annexation, part of that 1Yard.
li. It'(lie annexed area borders more Than one existing 1!'Iu•41 than file annexed
area shall become 1)111.1 of the existing Ward which shares the grealesl common
bouudtu-y with the annexed area.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
