ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A
CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES FOR 2001 EAST
MCCARTY STREET.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 221, Page 1 , of the Records of the Cole
County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a
Municipal Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and
repair structures for the routing and conveyance of sewer in, under and
through the lots, tracts or parcels of land described in Section 1 ;
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus
property of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
The following described parcels of land located in the City of.Jefferson, Missouri a.u.part of
® a Sanitary Sewer Easement, recorded iri book 221, page 1, of the records of Cole County.
All rights to said parcels of land are to be vacated.
(1)A strip of land 15 foot of even width across part of the Northwest quarter of the Southeast
quarter of Section 16, Township 44 North, Range 11 West, in the City of Jefferson, Cole
County, Missouri;the centerline of said 15 foot strip of land being more particularly described
as follows:
From the center of said Section 16; thence North 82 degrees 30 minutes East, along the
quarter Section line, 711.48 feet; thence South 4 degrees 20 rninufec East, 300.25 feet, to
the northerly line of old U.S. Route 50;thence South 71 degrees 18 minutes East, along said
northerly line 7.5 feet, to the beginning point of said ccnterlrne; thence North 4 degrees 20
minutes West, 139.48 feet.
Clearings are Magnetic.
(2) Also a strip of land 10 feet of even width across part of the Northwest quarter of the
Southeast quarter of Section 16,Township 44 North, Range 1 I West,in the City of Jefferson,
Cole County, Missouri; the contorline of said 10 foot strip of land being more parlicularly
described as follows:
From the center of said Section 16; thence North 82 degrees 30 minutes Last, .along the
quarter Section fine, 711,48 feet; thence South 4 degrees 20 minutes East, 172.50 feet, to
the beginning point of satrl contorlino;thence North 75 degrees 40 minutes East, 85.00 feot.
Bearings are Magnetic.

City does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.

necessary legal document relinquishing all of the City's Interest In the tract of ground
described In Section 1 .
