Subject: Traffic Counter Purchase
Attached are 2 bids for the purchase of traffic counters. After conducting an Internet search, as
well as speaking with other agencies using the equipment in the area, we have been unable to find
a third source for the equipment.
Of the two bids received we would like to purchase the TRAX 1 Plus counter by Jamar for a total
cost of$8,933.50. This cost includes a trade in credit of$125 for each of our existing six
counters (total value of$750). The other bidder was unwilling to offer any trade for our existing
equipment.
