AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH JACOBS
CIVIL INC. TO PREPARE A REHABILITATION DESIGN OF SEWERS IN THE MOREAU
RIVER PUMPS STATION BASIN 3.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Secti n 1 . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute a contract amendment with Jacobs Civil Inc. for design work related to sanitary
sewer rehabilitation.
Section 2. The amendment shall be substantially the same in form and content
as that Contract Amendment attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.

WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, Missouri a municipal corporation hereinailer designated
as"City",entered into an Agreement with Jacobs Civil Inc.,hercinaller refeirel to as"Consultant,"
on November 6, 2002;
WHEREAS, the Agreement was fir certain technical and professional planning serviced
described in Exhibit "A," which was attached to the Contract dated November 6, 2002; and
WEIEREAS,the parties wish to amend 1ax111bit"A"to the Contract dated November 6, 2002
to include additional final design documents liar Phase 3 -Sewer System Rehabilitation Project;and
WHERf?AS,the parties wish to amend the Contract dated November 6, 2002 to increase the
contract amount as this change is necessitated by additional work requirements in the preliminary
and final design.
NOW,TI-iEREIORE, be it agreed as follows;
A. The parties hereby agre; to amend E?xhibit "A" of the Contract dated November 6, 2002,
concerning the scope of.'f services to include the preliminary and final design plans.
B. The parties hereby agree to amend paragnipii 6, "C'ont sensation", of the Contract dated
November G, 2002 its follows;

accordance with the terms set forth in Fxhibi( A, which shall constitute
complete compeasat ion for all services to be rendered under this conh•act,

The anticipated tasks needed to prepare the construction documents are listed hclow. The
detailcd cost cstinlale For prcparalion of ►he construeliun documents is shown fitllowing the
scope ol'work.

7. Assist during the bidding process, including coordination with the City of
advertisement of bid, respond ti) technical questions raised during the Laid, prepare
addenda, evaluate bids and provide reconlnlendations of award to the City. Provide 5
sets of bid documents to the City,
8. Vrovide project management including scheduling and review of work progress to
elect schedule and budget and providing coordination between design team and the
City.
Surva-it is not anticipated that any survey will be required at this time.
Easenlents-it is not anticipated that any easements will he required at this time.
Geotechn_ical-it is not anticipated that any geotechnic al investigation will be required at
this time.

4.1 To tile extent and amount invoiced, .lacohs shall be compensated Im its services on the
following basis ofreimbursement. The total amount to be paid (casts plus Ices) flor all services
to be provided under this Agreement liar Phase I tasks is $1,239,100. The total amount to he paid
(costs plus fires) liar till services to be provided under this Agreement (or Phase II tasks is
$587,600. Jacobs shall notify the Owner wlien costs incurred and obligated tu1►ount to 75%) of
the total aniount to be paid and shall not incur costs beyond the es(imated cost without prior
approval from the Owner.
