AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI PERTAINING TO COMMITTEES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 2, Administration, Article II City Council, Part A. General Provisions, Sec. 2-46 Committees , Sub-Section A. Standing Committees., of the Code of the City of Jefferson is hereby amended as follows: See.2-46.Committees. A. Standing Committees. At the first regular meeting of the city council held after the City election. or as soon thereafter as may be practical,the following standing committees oftlte City Council shall be appointed by the mayor: 1. Committee on public works and planning to be composed of all council members. 2. Committee on finance to be composed ofall council members. 3. Committee on L nvironmental Services,to be Composed 01'11%'C Council members,one from each ward. (Ord. No. 11569, § I, 4-15-91; Ord. No. 11696. § 1, 2-3-92: Ord. No. 12290. § 1, 5-1-95; Orel. No. 12965, §1, 9-16-99) 4. Committee on appointment review to he composed of five council members,one from each ward. (Ord. No. 12290. § I, 5-1-95) S. Committee on Annexation and Planned Growth to be composed of five Council Members. 6. Committee on Conference/Convention center Planning and Development to be comprised of five Council rINlembers. Each standing committee of the city council shall hold its lint meeting immicdiately alter the first council meeting 1'ollowing the general city election or as soon thereafter as practicable. At its lust meeting the committee shall elect a chairperson and a vice-chairperson from among its members. Section 2. Chapter 2, Administration, Article II City Council, Part A. General Provisions, Sec. 2-47 Duties of committees , of the Code of the City of Jefferson is hereby amended as follows: See. 2-47. Duties ol'commi(tees. The committee shall consider all nutters related to file location, design,financing and administraiic►n of one or more conference or convention centers in the city,including meeting with stale and county officials and private parties, perfornning research and uunivsis into feasibility and affordahilify, soliciting and evaluating proposals, and generally reporting to flue council its reco►nnnendations,all with a goal of facilitating the consU•uction ot'such pu1►lic or private projects as may be most beneficial and effective I'or the conuuunity. f=F.
