AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A
CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES ACROSS APART OF LOT 150
OF DEL CERRO SUBDIVISION, SECTION SIX.
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 12, Page 217, of the Records of the Cole
County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a
Municipal Corporation, to excavate within, install, constrt,rct, maintain and
repair structures for the routing and conveyance of sewer in, under and
through the lots, tracts or parcels of land described in Section 1 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus
property of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
All that part of a fifteen(15) foot wide sanitary sewer easement crossing a part of Lot
No. 150,of Del Cerro Subdivision, Section Six, as per plat of record in Plat Book 12,
Page 217, of the Cole County Recorder's Office, the centerline of said fifteen (15)
foot wide easement being more particularly described as follows:
Is BEGINNING at a point on the southerly line of said Lot No. 150, said point being
55.20 feet easterly of the southwest corner of said Lot No. 150; thence S78"47'30"E,
92.67 feet, to a point on the easterly line of said Lot No. 150, said point being 37.35
feet northerly of the southeast corner of said Lot No. 150 and the POINT OF
TERMINATION of this centerline description.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the City
does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary
legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground described in
Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date. of
its passage and approval.
