RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT
URGING FULL FUNDING OF SB174 "ROBERTI-Z'BERG
URBAN OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION PROGRAM" FOR
1979-1980 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, SB174 funds have made it possible for the District•
and other public agencies to acquire park and open space
land vital to urban communities, and
WHEREAS, many more significant park and open space sites may
be lost to development or escalating land prices if they
are not acquired now, and
WHEREAS, the ability of the District and other public agencies
to acquire even the most important park and open space
areas has been severely affected by recent cuts in
property tax revenue, and
WHEREAS, the availability of SB174 funds may be the only hope
many public agencies such as the District have of ac-
quiring threatened park and open space parcels,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors
of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space.District strongly
urges Governor Brown to approve full funding of SB174
"Roberti-Z'berg Urban Open Space and Recreation Program"
for 1979-1980 Fiscal Year.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Open Space District on December 13 , 19 78 at a
regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:
AYES: R. Bishop, K. Duffy, B. Green, N. Hanko, E. Shelley, H.
Turner and D. Wendin

District, hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution duly adopted by the Board of Directors of the
