ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE CODE PERTAINING
TO WEAPONS OFFENSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Chapter 18 (Miscellaneous), Article VII - Weapons Offenses, Section 115-acrd
Seetioi°I-118 of the Code of the City of Jefferson is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 18-115. Discharge of firearms.
A. No person shall discharge It permit issued by the
Police Department,except as stated as stated below:

and while acting within the scope of his duties as such,or unless fir such person is on duty in military service and acting

22. The prohibition shall not apple to licensed shooting galleries or clubs or in private grounds at-premises owned
and operated by licensed shooting galleries or clubs under circumstances when such instruments can be fired,
discharged or operated in such manner as not to endanger persons or property,anti in such manner as Io prevent
the projectile from traversing any grounds or space outside the limits ot'such gallery except as provided in Sec.
18-131. No peratit%runt the Police Department shall he required%or•aetivih allowed at shooting willeries or clubs,
or 1a•persons as otherwise allowed by ordinance.
For purposes of this section Shooting Gallery shall be defined as: Au establishment,including at glut club,where
members and their guests are permitted to discharge weapons on pre-determined ranges subject to the rules and
regulations o f t he organization. Use of the p rent ises must be restricted to members:utd their guests antFmmt-nvt
he open to the ptiblic. If the shooting range is outdoors it most be established an no less than one hundred(100)
acres. If the range is indoors it must he situated on uo less than five (5) acres.

Section 2. Chapter 18 (Miscellaneous),Article VII - Weapons Offenses, of the Code of the City
Jefferson is hereby amended by repealing Section 18-118:
