AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING PRIMARY
AND GENERAL ELECTION DATES IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR 2003.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo., Municipal Elections are hereby established
as follows:
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 4, 2003, if needed.
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 8, 2003.
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authority of the candidates
for office and election dates.
(d) The office of Mayor, one member of the City Council from each of the five
® Wards, City Prosecutor, and Municipal Judge shall be elected at the General
Election on Tuesday, April 8, 2003.
Section 2. Declarations of Candidacy for and Candidate Endorsement Forms must be
filed with the City Clerk between 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2002, and 5:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, November '19, 2002.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
