GOV Board of Health Meeting Wednesday March 1, 2023 at 6:30PM Town Hall, Room A Health Department Amy L, von one, Director Sherrie McCullough, R.S. Assistant Director Tammi Mason Senior Department Assistant Board members present: Annette Graczewski, MT(ASCP), Chair; Kimberley Crocker Pearson, MS, MD, MPH, Vice Chair; Penny Holeman, MPH, MA, MS, David Bennett, and Casey D. Chatelain Others present: Sherrie McCullough, R.S., Assistant Health Director, Joe Smith, NE Operations Supervisor, NSU Water and Brian Fortan, Lead Operator of CC area, NSU Water Others present remotely: Greg Brehm, J.M. O'Reilly &Associates, Inc. 1. Call to order Meeting was called to order at 6:30PM 2. Declaration of a Quorum All present 3. Recording Statement Noted 4. Chair Announcements Special Town Meeting will be on March 6, 2023 at the Stony Brook Elementary School at 6:OOPM. This meeting is to consider several articles related to the Boardwalk project. The public is encouraged to attend. A copy of the warrant can be obtained on the Town's website. The public can also access a recorded copy of the public comment hearing held by the Selectboard regarding the issue on February 9, 2023 at the Town's website. Nomination papers are available in the Town Clerk's office for the 2023 annual Town election. There are 2 3 -year terms on the ballot of the Board of Health. Anyone interested should return nomination papers before 3/28/23. A list of all the offices that will appear on the ballot and specific information regarding submission of nomination papers is available on the Town's website. 5. Citizen's forum None. 6. Annual Small Wastewater Treatment Facilities reports: • J.M. O'Reilly &Associates —White Rock Commons • NSU Water— Pleasant Bay Health & Living Centers & Maplewood of Brewster Greg Brehm, Waterwater Treatment Coordinator, and operator of White Rock Commons from J.M. Maplewood- • BOD, TSS, and total Nitrogen all trended downward in 2022 • There were no exceedances (except for 2 that were rectified immediately with a pump out) • All else is looking good, no issues • All preventative maintenance has been done • Trying to achieve 5PPM for Nitrogen Pleasant Bay Health &Living Centers- • No exceedances • All preventative maintenance has been done • Still working some numbers down but they are still below the required limit • Average of 5PPM for Nitrogen The Board thanked the operators for attending the meeting. 7. Liaison Reports AG -The Recycling Committee has not met. KCP: WQRC. The main concern with the group is the closure of the solar array at 989 Freemans Way. They have come up with a plan foI monitoring of the closure. Conditions will be finalized at the next meeting. DB: WQTF. There was discussion revolving around comments going back to DEP. SM -att ended the comment meeting today. She noted that there were a lot of good points brough up. PH: COA. There is a new director at the COA. They are working on sett ing up the Health Fair in May. 8. Matters not reasonably anticipated by the Chair None. 9. Items for next agenda AG -reminded the Board that pressure dosed systems and I/A systems are a topic that need to be discussed when the whole Board is in attendance. She is hoping this can be discussed at the April meetings. 10. Next meeting: March 15, 2023 Noted. Informational items were noted. KCP-next Thursday, 3/9/233 the Natural Resources Advisory Committee will host Nancy Leland from University of New Hampshire. She is a Biological Limnologist.
