ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING A PART OF
AN EXISTING TWENTY FIVE (25) FOOT SANITARY SFWER EASEMENT IN THE
CHAPEL HILL COMMONS, OF RECORD IN BOOK 284, PAGE 967, OF THE COLE
COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE, AS SITUATE IN THE NORTHWEST FRACTIONAL
QUARTER OF SECTION 4, TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, IN THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, COUNTY OF COLE, MISSOURI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 284, Page 967, of the Records of the Cole
County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a Municipal
Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and repair structures for the
routing and conveyance of sewer in, under and through the lots, tracts or parcels of land
described in Section 1;
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus
property of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
Part of a twenty five (25) foot wide Sanitary Sewer Easement of record, as
per Book 284, Page 967, of the Cole County Recorder's Office, said
easement being situate in the Northwest Fractional Quarter of Section 4,
Township 44 North, Range 12 West, in the County of Cole, Missouri; the
centerline of said part of said twenty five (25) foot wide easement being more
particularly described as follows:
From the Southeast corner of the Northwest Fractional Quarter of said
Section4; thence N02053'00"W, along the east line of said Fractional
Quarter, 270.97 feet to the centerline of said easement in said Book 284,
Page 967, and the POINT OF BEGINNING for this centerline description;
thence leaving the said east line of said Fractional Quarter on a bearing of
N89"50'04"W, 150.813 feet to a point on the east line of Rock Beacon Road,
as per Book 230, Page 478, of the Cole County Recorder's Office, said point
being the POINT OF TERMINATION of said centerline description.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the
City does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any
necessary legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground
described in Section 1.

Section 4, This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
