ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING A PART OF
A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT AS DESCRIBED IN BOOK 189, PAGE 389, OF THE
COLE COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE,AS SITUATE IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER
OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, IN THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, COUNTY OF COLE, MISSOURI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 189, Page 389, of the Records of the Cole
County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a Municipal
Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and repair structures for the
routing and conveyance of sewer in, Linder and through the lots, tracts or parcels of land
described in Section 1 ;
Section 1 . The COL111CiI finds that the following described easement is Surplus
property of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
A strip of land, twenty (20) feet of even width across a tract of land, said tract
being a part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 44 North,
Range 12 West, in the City of Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri; being
more particularly described as follows: "From the Southwest corner of the
Northwest Quarter of said Section 12: thence easterly along the south line
(the quarter section line) of said Northwest Quarter, 1101.8 feet; thence
N10"00"E, 407.0 feet to the BEGINNING POINT for this description; thence
continuing N10"00"E, 648.97 feet, to the south line of U. S. Route 50;
thence along the South line of U. S. Route 50, N80'53'W, 51.48 feet; thence
N83'1 TW, along said South line, 100 feet; thence N84"35'VV, along said
South line, 411 .02 feet, to the east line Of Southwest Boulevard; thence
S03'24'W, along the east line Of Southwest Boulevard, 593.30 feet; thence
S77-57'E, 489.67 feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING.", the centerline of said
twenty (20) foot strip land being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the east line of the above described tract which is
157 feet, more or less, northerly from the southeasterly corner thereof;
thence in a westerly direction to a point on the west line of said above
described tract which is 62.2 feet, more or less, northerly of the
southwesterly corner thereof, the POINT OF TERMINATION of said
centerline description.

Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the
City does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any
necessary legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground
described in Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
