(COMPENSATION PLAN) OF THE PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL OF THE CITY OFt�
JEFFERSON REGARDING SALARY INCREASES AND BONUSES.
BE iT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Article 8 (Compensation Plan) of the Personnel Policy Manual of the City `"
of Jefferson Missouri is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 8-10. Salary increases and bonuses.
Merit salary increases and merit bonuses recognize employees for high job p erfonnance

and the enhancement orjob skills and knowledge acquired through the employees'own cfi'orts .,,:.;,€
and initiatives. Such pay advancements serve to distribute budgeted monetary resources to ' , �r...•�

employees who distin�,uish themselves above the average employee. For merit program
effectiveness erforrnance is necessaril compared to other employees to determine what

constitutes average. To maintain merit program integrity, average and marginal performance ?

Merit salary increases and merit bonuses shall be made to full time and part time with `-''t:

benefit employees only in accordance with this policy and shall be further limited to the funds
available and budgeted for such advancements.
:.���• (a) For employees whose salaries are below the maximum of the salary range, merit
