Just following up from the requests for information I received at the PHE meeting yesterday.
1. The structure Harwich is utilizing for the Opioid funding is as follows:
a. Form a working group comprised of Health Director, Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, EMS Officer, Police Chief, Deputy Police Chief, Detective Sargent, Youth Counselor, Town Nurse,
and one Board of Selectmen representative.
b. Develop overall goals of the funding. The three goals we identified are:
1.Implement a youth prevention program in the schools
2.Develop a navigator/outreach program. We aim to have a consistent, trusted individual that can develop deep relationships with members of the public, and assist in a variety of issues.
3.Develop a relationship with an outpatient program for easy referral. Potentially use some of the funding as a retainer for spots to easily get residents access to programs when needed.
c. Meet with Gosnold, Duffy Health Center, & Outer Cape Health to determine offerings for Navigator/outreach Program, and outpatient/inpatient programs.
d. Meet with the schools to identify and implement prevention programs.
e. Ultimately bring final recommendations to BoS for vote before implementation.
2. I have attached the application for the Department of Mental Health Jail Diversion Grant Program. This grant can be used to either supplement opioid funding, or could be used

3. I emailed Mike Hicks regarding a potential discount on bulk inspectional software packages (Food Code Pro, Pool Code Pro, Etc.). I would like to invite him to attend our January
meeting, if that’s ok with everyone? Just let me know if that’s ok with the group, and I’m happy to schedule with him directly.
