MISSOURI, PERTAINING TO TRANSIT SYSTEM FARESk

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS: ��5y
Section 1. Section 34-27 of the Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is herebyi4 ~ u9s�+4:
amended to read as follows: .
C. Any child student enrolled in any elementary,junior high or senior high school or collegek:
in the city shall be eligible to purchase a special student discount pass entitling the student
to twenty(20)rides for a cost of nine dollars($9,00). Student passes shall be honored only
r on school days between the hours of ?.00 6:45 a.m.and o-P�6:45 p.m. Student
z� I.D.card may be required as proof of eligibility.
F. The fare for the demand-response bus for the handicapped will be one dollar($1.00)per trip,

G. The city,in respect to its citizens who are transportation handicapped as that term is ?' r ^, I
defined in Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964 shall issue a reduced transit fare
identification card to those citizens that meet the eligibility criteria set forth in the city F :a
"Jefftran Application for Handicapped Persons Reduced Transit Fare Identification
Card" form which entitle their holders to ride the city buses fixed routes at one half rr<
the regular fixed route fare. The reduced fare card will be issued by the city finance
department. To obtain such a pass, the applicant must submit a completed city `
3efftran Application for Handicapped Persons Reduced Transit Fare Identification
Card”including a physician statement and proof of residency in the city. The reduced art
far identification card shall expire two years after issuance,subject to renewal upon w j
proof of continuing disability. The director of public works shall establish necessary ;
rules and regulations to implement this reduced fare. This discount fare is to take
effect November 1,2000.
