Update on 2624-2628 Main Street AVH- At the February 1, 2023 BOH meeting, the Board voted to condemn the 3 campers and the grey/green cottage located at 2624-2628 Main Street. The Health Department staff along with the Brewster Constable, Roland Basset and 2 police officers went to the property on February 6th to serve the condemnation orders to the property manager, David Schlesinger, and attempted to serve Michael Foster, tenant occupying the property. Condemnation orders were posted onto Mr. Foster's camper, the 2 remaining campers that were parked towards the southern portion of the property, 1 belonging to Stephen Brown, owner of the property and Tina Sylvester, tenant in one of the campers. As of this past Monday, she had heard back from Mr. Schlesinger, the property manager, that Mr. Foster had removed his camper from the property and the other 2 are trying to be sold or relocated. There are no occupants in any of the trailers and this will continue to be the Health Departments purview as far as enforcement. Under the Health Regulations, the campers can remain on site, they just can't be occupied. Mr. Schlesinger did state that they boarded up the grey/green cottage and it is unoccupied. There is still an issue with the poultry that are onsite. Still waiting for the appropriate paperwork to complete the application. AG - Asked if there were any plans to go back and re -inspect. AVH- Currently, no. She is relying on updates from the property manager. KCP- Asked if the abutter had been kept up to date about the poultry on the property. AVH- She has been in touch with him and has let him know the status. PH- Thanked AVH and SM for all their hard work. 8. Brewster Conservation Day: July 8, 2023 "Native Plants, Healthy Habits" -request for volunteers and BOH tent theme AVH- Looking for volunteers to help with a theme and to man the tent. KCP-Suggested getting samples of "Technu" (a lotion for poison ivy), or something of that nature since the theme was plants. 9. Liaison Reports AG- The Recycling Commission did meet but she was unable to attend. The Commission did receive notification from AVH and Meg Morris of the Recycling Commission of a citizen's petition to ban the use of plastic take out containers as well as the distribution of plastic utensils. KCP- The Water Quality Review Committee has not met. She stated that she attended the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture Right of Way Advisory Board meeting. The outcome of that was that there were so many changes needed to the Vegetation Management Plan that they were going to need to make another one. PH- Told the Board that Denise Rego had retired and the new Director is now Elton Cutler. AVH- Spoke about the Water Quality Task Force Meeting and the letter that was written to DEP on Changes to the State Title 5 Regulations. 10.
