A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A THREE -YEAR CONTRACT TO THE PUN GROUP FOR PROFESSIONAL AUDIT
SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF LYNWOOD BEGINNING WITH FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 2016
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood solicited bids for professional audit services,
and eight firms submitted their proposal; and
WHEREAS, City staff reviewed all the proposals and all firms met the minimum
qualifications; and
WHEREAS, City staff provided a brief summary of each firm's qualifications and
experience with government entities; and
WHEREAS, the firm selected by City Council will be awarded a three year
contract with an option to extend the contract for two additional years; and
WHEREAS, the audit fees will be included in the FY 17, FY 18 and FY 19
Budget; and
WHEREAS, in addition to providing professional audit services, the fee includes
the preparation of the State Controller's Reports.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute a two year
professional auditing services contract with The Pun Group Accountants & Advisors
with the option to extend the contract for one additional year, approved as to form by the
City Attorney.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the passage of this City Council
Resolution.
