AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING SECTION 3.5 OF THE
FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLAN FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AS APPROVED BY ORDINANCE 12181. if

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: {

Section 1. Section 3.5 of the City's Flexible Benefit Plan, as enacted by Ordinance 12181 oni'
`! November 15, 1994, is hereby amended as follows: '
:i 3.5 Employer Contribution.The Employer shall make available to "R t.rrt

is available only if the employee either elects coverage under one of the
Employer sponsored health plans or provides evidence of health care
coverage from another source. Any remaining funds in excess of the

insurance cost, up to$200$250 may be used to purchase other benefits
available pursuant to Section 4.1. The Employer contribution is not
considered as part of the employee's full compensation and is not .` �•
available to the employee as cash. ;
011 Section 2. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 12181,enacted by Council on November 15, 1994,and ,
which was previously amended by Ordinance 12343, is hereby amended as follows:
Section 3. In addition to the Employer contributions specified in Ai
Exhibit A the City shall underwrite premiums for health insurance for
spouse coverage in the amount of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per month, R ;
for children coverage in the amount of seventy fifty dollars ($70.00
$50.00) per month, and for family coverage in the amount of one
t hundred fifteen dollars ($115.00) per month. , :
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect January 1, 2000. '
