HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance No. 932-02 07-09-2002 • ORDINANCE NO. 932-02 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS ORDINANCE NO. 908-01 AND THE FISCAL YEAR 2001-02 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, ADOPTED THEREBY; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, adopted Ordinance No. 908-01 on September 11, 2001, approving and adopting a municipal budget for the City of Richland Hills, Texas, for fiscal year 2001-02; and WHEREAS, changed conditions resulted in the adoption of Ordinance No. 922-02 on January 8, 2002, and Ordinance No. 924-02 on February 26, 2002, amending the budget adopted by Ordinance No. 908-01; and WHEREAS, changed conditions and circumstances, which could not have been foreseen through the use of reasonable diligent thought and attention, have necessitated a certain amendment to Ordinance No. 908-01 and the budget adopted thereby; and • WHEREAS, a public hearing on the following amendment to the fiscal year 2001-02 budget contemplated has been held as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS: That Section II of said Ordinance No. 908-01 be amended to increase the general fund appropriation from $3,751,507 to $3,758,472 with such increase allocated and appropriated as follows: I. $6,965 such sum for the funding of the demolition of a substandard structure located at 7212 Baker Boulevard. 3123 Ash Park Drive; II. Severability Clause. That it is hereby declared to the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid • judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, • sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such invalid or unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section. III. Saving Clause. That said Ordinance 908-01 of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, shall remain in full force and effect, save and except as amended by this ordinance. IV. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by the Richland Hills City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas. V.
