AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING PRIMARY
AND GENERAL ELECTION DATES IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,FOR 1 999.
! BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
A
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pur:want to Chapter 115 RSMo., Municipal Elections are hereby
established as follows:
. (a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 2, 1999, if needed.
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 6, 1999.
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authority of the candidates
for office and election dates.
(d) The Mayor,one member of the City Council from each Ward, Municipal Judge ,

and City Prosecutor shall be elected at the Genera!Election on Tuesday,April
6, 1999.
Section 22. Declarations of candidacy for party candidates and petitions for the nomination of independent candidates must be filed with the City Clerk between 8:00 a.m.
on Tuesday, October 20, 1998, and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 1998.
Section 8. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
