AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AMENDING ARTICLE VII OF
CHAPTER 18(MISCELLANEOUS PROVISICINS AND OFFENSE;)OF THE CODE OF THE
. CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 18-118 PERTAINING TO f
POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS WEAPONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:

i of Jefferson, Missouri is hereby amended by adding a new Section 18-118 pertaining to
possession of dangerous weapons, which shall read as follows:

Sec. 1g-118. Possession of dangerous weapons prohibited,with exceptions.
1 A. No person shall themselves nor shall any person permit a minor in their custody
to have in his possession,except within his own domicile,or carry or use any pellet gun,sling shot, '
l blow gun,or other weapon that is not a firearm,which is capable of expelling a projectile that r
could inflict serious physical injury or death by striking or piercing a person. ;
H. The prohibition of subsection A,of this section shall not apply to licensed shooting
galleries or in private grounds or premises under circumstances when such instruments can be
Tired discharged or operated in such manner as not to endanger persons or property, nd in such
manner as to prevent the projectile from traversing any grounds or space outside the limits of sac h
gallery,grounds or residence. j
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval.
