THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 3 8> ~
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR
THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 126 AND ALL OTHER CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1. Compensation Established
There is hereby established a salary of One Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($1,700) per
year for the office of Mayor of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas. Said salary accrues on a
monthly basis and is payable to the person lawfully holding said office, at the rate of One
Hundred Forty-Two Dollars ($142) per month.
There is hereby established a salary of One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($1,200) per
year for the office of Councilperson of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas. Said salary accrues on
a monthly basis and is payable to the person lawfully holding said office, at the rate of One
Hundred Dollars ($100) per month.
Section 2. Repeal
Ordinance Number 126 is hereby repealed. All other ordinances or parts of other
ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed. However, any section of an existing ordinance
not in conflict herewith is not repealed and remains in full force and effect.
Section 3. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from May 1, 2003 and after its
publication in the official city newspaper.
