AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
I MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT
WITH THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A SECTION 5309
CAPITAL ASSISTANCE GRANT TO FUND COMPLETION OF THE TRANSIT/CENTRAL
MAINTENANCE FACILITY EXPANSION PROJECT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
{ FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
an amendment to the grant agreement with Missouri Department of Transportation for a
Section 5309 Capital Assistance Grant to fund completion of the Transit/Central
Maintenance Facility Expansion Project.
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as
that agreenr ent attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval.

SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION
COMMISSION 5309 PUBL.IC TRANSIT CAPITAL. ASSISTANCE GRANT
AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT is entered into by the Missouri Highway and
Transportation Commission (hereinafter, "Commission") and City of Jefferson
(hereinafter, "Grantee"), pursuant to the terms of a 5309 Capital Assistance Grant
Agreement between these said parties executed by the Grantee on July 24, 1997,
and by the Commission on August 5, 1997.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties previously entered into a 5309 Capita's Assistance
Grant Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement'). This Agreement
F provided financial assistance to the Grantee for providing transportation services in :.
the form of a grant of funds made available to the Commission under Chapter 53 of
title 49 U.S.C.
WHEREAS, the parties to the Agreement have additionally agreed to formally
amend this Agreement and to be bound by the terms contained in the previous
Agreement.

WHEREAS, in this Second Amendment to the Agreement, the Commission
agrees to provide the Grantee with additional financial assistance for the Grantee's
general public transportation services.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed that the said Agreement shall be amended
as follows:
(1) CAPITAL_ COSTS: Paragraph 1(D) of the Agreement is amended to
t'E increase the federal share,reimbursement to the Grantee for net capital costs to an
amount not to exceed fihe sum of seventy-nine thousand four hundred twenty
($79,420). These capital costs are estimated to .be the amount appearing in the
Grantee's capital project budget as set forth in the attached.

(2) ALL TERMS:OF THE A RE'EMEI+�"T' TO REMAIN EFFECTIVE: The j
parties agree that all other terms of the Agreement enterers into by the parties on
August 5, 1997, are to remain effective between' the parties, The parties agree to
be bound by the terms of the Agreement.
