A meeting of the ABC Board of the Borough of Carteret was called to
order by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman on Friday, March 20, 2020 at
approximately 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers, Memorial
Municipal Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon Individual Roll Call, the following were noted present:
Commissioner James A. Failace (via phone)
" Frank James, Jr.
Mayor Daniel J. Reiman (via phone)
Also noted present were Robert J. Bergen, Esq., Borough Attorney and
Carmela Pogorzelski, Board Secretary.
The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the
Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman.
The Notice of today's meeting was sent to The Home News Tribune
and The Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin board on March 14,
2020. Notice was published in The Home News Tribune and The Star
Ledger on March 17, 2020.
The purpose of the meeting was to approve liquor license transfers and
any other business that may come before the Board.
Minutes for Approval — October 21, 2019.
Upon MMS &C, by Commissioners James and Failace and affirmative
vote of the Rill membership present the Minutes of October 21, 2019
were approved as transcribed and engrossed by the Clerk.

OPEN'TO PUBLIC Upon MMS &C, by Commissioners Failace and James and unanimous
affirmative vote of the full membership present, the meeting was
opened to the public.
CLOSED TO PUBLIC There being no comments or objections, upon MMS &C, by
Commissioners Failace and James and unanimous affirmative vote of
the full membership present, the meeting was closed to the public.
RESOLUTION #01 -20 Resolution #01 -20 was introduced by the Mayor and referred to the
TRANSFER CAI(TERE'I' Board for action.
EXECUTIVE CATERER, LLC TO
ROOSEVELT HOSPITALITY
Mayor Reiman said this is the old Holiday Inn license, he said they are
now Red Roof Inn and Carmen's Pizza from Port Reading has
relocated there.
CLERK'S NOTE:
This resolution rescinds resolution Upon MMS &C, by Commissioner Failace and James
#15 -19 and approves the transfer.
They took a wll le to get the proper
tax clearance certificate for transfer.
RESOLUTION 401 -20
"APPROVING A PERSON -TO- PERSON TRANSFER
OF A.B.C. LICENSE 41201 -33- 018 -003
FROM CARTERET EXECUTIVE CATERER, LLC TO
ROOSEVELT HOSPITALITY, LLC."
ADOPTED was Adopted. Upon individual roll call vote, Mayor Reiman,
Commissioners Failace and James voted in the affirmative
RESOLUTION #02 -20
TRANSFER PADAM V. PATEL
TO CARTERET BUSINESS Resolution #02 -20 was introduced by the Mayor and referred to the
PARTNERSHIP, INC. Board for action.
COQ - ESSIONER FAILACL' Commissioner Failace asked how many licenses the CBP has.
Mayor Reiman said they sold one to the steakhouse on Washington
Avenue and sold one to an Italian restaurant coming to Washington
Avenue. He said Padam Patel bought this license from the Federal

Bankruptcy Court, it was the old Bob Buckalew license. He said the
Business Partnership can hold 2 to 3 licenses.

RESOLUTION 402 -20

FROM PADAM V. PATEL TO CARTERET
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP, INC."
was Adopted. Upon individual roll call vote, Commissioners Failace ADOPTED
and James voted in the affirmative. Mayor Reiman abstained and said
as Mayor he sits on the CBP board.
Mayor Reiman asked if anyone had anything to add.
Commissioner James said he hopes everyone stays healthy.
Commissioner Failace said he hopes everyone stays healthy.
Borough Attorney, Robert Bergen said everyone should stay safe.
There being no fiuther comments or discussion, upon MMS &C, by ADJOURNED
Commissioners James and Failace and the full membership present,
the meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:03 a.m.
