AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
Y; DISCONTINUING THE SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE EASEMENT ACROSS A
PORTION OF LOT 12, BLOCK 8, OF WASHINGTON PARK ADDITION.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that c
the owners of land adjacent to and abutting upon Lot 12, Block 8, of Washington Park

t Addition in the City, have petitioned the City Council to vacate a surface water drainage
easement; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or i r;
the citizens of the City to discontinue a portion of the surface water drainage easement {
across ,a portion of Lot 12, Block 8, of Washington Park Addition, for public use as >'
described in Section 1 of this Ordinance; and '! 5}5
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF i "``
JEFFERSON MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
. Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it
necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a right-of-way the surface water !;
' drainage easement across a portion of Lot 12, Block 8, of Washington Park Addition and
forever vacate the following described right-of-way in said City:
A"SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE EASEMENT" dated June 24, 1964 and
recorded in Book 187, Page 262, of the Cole County Recorder's Office; and
being more particularly described as follows:
The northerly seven (7)feet of Lot 12 in Block 8 of Washington Park Addition r „a
to the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as per plat of record in Plat Book 2 at Page ikt
31 Cole County Recorders Office.
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting roe is

r hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of+Missouri, and the Mayor and ► � y
the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required .:f

R to confirm the reversionary rights'of the owners of property abutting on the area vacated,

Ct as described in Section 1 of this ordinance, in the surface water drainage easement
vacated.
