AN.ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE I
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE PUBLIC TRANSIT
OPERATING GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION.

EA, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 'l. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
an amendment to the Public Transit Operating Grant Agreement with Missouri Department
of Transportation.
Saction 2. The amendment shall be substantially the same in form and content
-a as that amendment attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of

FIRS'AMENDMENT TO THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION
COMMISSION PUBLIC TRANSIT OPERATING ASSISTANCE GRANT
AGREEMENT
I
THIS AMENDMENT is entered into by the Missouri Highway and
Transportation Commission (hereinafter, "Commission") and City of Jefferson
(hereinafter, "Grantee"), pursuant to the terms of an Agreement between these said
( parties executed by the Grantee on August 12, 1996, and by the Commission on
August 29, 1996.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties previously entered into a Public Transit Operating
Assistance Grant Agreement. This Agreement provided financial assistance to the j
Grantee for the Grantee's general public transportation services.

WHEREAS, the parties to the Agreement have additionally agreed to formally
amend this Agreement and to be bound by the terms contained in the previous r
Agreement;

<; WHEREAS, in this First Amendment to the Agreement, the Commission
'{ agrees to provide the Grantee with additional financial assistance for the Grantee's
,general public transportation seiwices.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed that the said Agreement shall.be amended
as follows: ;
l N • The Commission awards the Grantee the 'sum
t .. (1) AMOUNT OF GRANT: ,.
of fifty-five thousand nine hundred eighty-three ($55,983) during the:period ef,July
1, 1997, to June 30, 199a.

(2) ALL TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT TO REMAIN EFFECTIVE: The �
parties agree, that all other terms of the Agreement executed by the parties:on i-
August 29, 1996;jo remain effective between the parties. The parties agree to be
bound by-the terms of'the agreement:
