PUBLIC 4 ACCESS CHANNEL. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute an amendment to the contract with Lincoln University to operate and manage a public access channel. Section 2. The amendment shall be substantially the same in form and content as that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval. AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES IN CONJUNCTION WITH PUBLIC ACCESS CATV WHEREAS,the City of Jefferson,Missouri, a municipal corporation hereinafter designated "City", entered into a Contract with the Curators of Lincoln University, hereinafter referred, to as "Operator," on December 3, 1991; WHEREAS,the Contract was for operation and management of public access channel; and WHEREAS, the parties wish to renew the Contract for a period on one year. NOW, THEREFORE, be it agreed as follows: 1. Section 5 of the Contract, dated December 3, 1991, as amended by the Amendment to Contract for Services in Conjunction With Public Access CATV, dated October 20, 1992, is further amended to read as follows: 5. Term of Agreement. The term of this agreement shall be for a period of one year, commencing November 1, 1993, and ending on October 31, 1994; with five (5) one (1) year extensions covering up to and including a period of six (6) years. Prior to the end of any current term of this agreement, City and Operator may agree to extend this agreement for an additional consecutive one year term by mutual consent and agreement as to each such one year term, provided that such final extension shall extend no longer than October 31, 1999. 2. Section 6 of the Contract, dated October December. 3, 1991, is amended to k read as follows: 6. Compensation and Method of Payment. City shall pay to Operator and Operator shall accept from City as monetary compensation for the rights, duties and obligations arising under and by virtue of this agreement the sum of Seventy-nine Thousand Dollars ($79,000.00), to be paid in advance in equal monthly installments on or before the first of each month. Operator shall have the right to negotiate for additional funding each year. 3.
