rs AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE FIRE
CODE OF THE CITY TO PERMIT THERMALLY PROTECTED ABOVE-GROUND
STORAGE TANKS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI:
Section 1. The Fire Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri as adopted by
Ordinance 11510, as amended by Ordinance 11769, is further amended by the deletion
of Section F-2805.4 as it currently reads and the substitution of a new Section F-2805.4 .
to read as set out below:

,t . F-2805.4 Maximum outside fuel storage above-ground:
(a) The maximum amount of combustible or flammable liquid
! stored outside above-ground shall not exceed 660 gallons.

(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section (a) above,
above-ground tanks shall be permitted for the storage of motor fuels
on premises to which the public does not have access when
r •; installed in a thermally protected, vaulted or double wall designed
container meeting UL Standards 142, and 2085, and NFPA 30/30A
Codes, and provide 110 percent seconds internal containment with

: external barrier protection and an overfill prevention/containment
f system. The maximum capacity. will be 12,000 gallons individually
with an aggregate capacity of 24,000 gallons at any one location.
Each tank shall be marked with the following manufacturer's
Information contained on a metal, non-corrosive data plate attached
rt by 360 degree weld, and so located as to remain visible in the
installed position.
(1) Service and product for which the
container is designed.
(2) Name and address of manufacturer.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
