s_ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Sect. ,. The code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended by the
insertion of a new sub-section to Section 2-290 Powers of Articles VI City Administrator which
shall read as follows:
t' F. The City Administrator is hereby authorized to execute change orders to
F contracts including increasing the amount to be expended under the contract provided
the following criteria are met:
'k 1• The change order has previously been approved by the department
t
director of the department administering the contract and the financial
amount involved does not exceed ten percent (10°x) in total of the original
t -contract amount with any previously approved change orders on that
contract, or ten thousand dollars ($10,000), whichever is greater.
2. The change order does not change�tw ange the general scope of the project.
3. All change orders approved shall
be reported to the City Council within
two weeks of execution. The report shall include the reason for the
change order.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
,f passage and approval.
