b. Furnish each utility with base plans for their verification of the location of
their existing facilities.
C. Furnish each utility with preliminary design plans for the project
accompanied by a written outline of the relocations that are necessary.
d. Meet with utilities to review their relocation plans and schedules and
establish coordination for project-interutility matters.
e. Prepare special provisions sections of the project specifications as
necessary to define contractor -utility coordination during the construction
phase.
7. MEETINGS AND CONSULTATION: Prepare for and attend project -related
meetings in Jefferson City for coordination, review, and reporting of the project
as follows:
a. Initial meeting with CITY staff for project initiation.
b. Meetings with CITY, MOSERS, and MHTD for project coordination.
C. Initial meeting with utilities to establish coordination.
d. Design review meeting upon completion of the preliminary plans.
e. Scope review meeting with the City before beginning final plans.
f. Utility coordination meeting upon completion of the final plans.
g. Meeting with CITY to review final plans, specifications, and estimates.
h. Public meetings to present and discuss the final plans.
i. Pre -proposal meeting with the CITY and prospective bidders.
j. Pre -construction conference.
k. Two additional special meeting.
L Provide telephone conferences the CITY as needed.
M. Prepare and render a monthly written narrative progress report of
ENGINEER'S activity on the project for the first 6 months.
8. COST ESTiMATES: Prepare and furnish construction cost estimates to the
CITY. Estimates will be prepared in detail commensurate with the concurrent
level of detail of the design. Estimates will be based on ENGINEER'S
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION, AND JUDGMENT AS A DESIGN
PROFESSIONAL. ENGINEER does not guarantee that actual rates, cost,
performance, etc., will not vary from estimates and projections prepared by
ENGINEER. Include the following itemized estimates:
a. Preliminary estimates including comparative estimates of alternatives.
b. Final estimate, itemized for bidding the project on a unit price basis.
9. RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION SUPPORT: Support the CITY'S appraisal and
acquisition of right-of-way and easements for the project by performing the
following tasks:
a. Prepare written legal descriptions of the right-of-way and easements to
be acquired from each tract.
b. Calculate the areas for each class of taking.
C. Prepare acquisition sketch maps for each parcel to indicate each class of
taking relative to the tract boundaries.
d. Prepare a descriptive narrative "Impact Summary" statement for each
tract as an information supplement to the plans. Impact Summaries will
describe the expected physical effect of the project and include
identification of existing improvement to be affected.
