ORDINANCE NO. 12 91
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING
EASEMENT RIGHTS IN A PORTION OF AN EAST-WEST ALLEY EAST OF BOLIVAR
STREET BETWEEN WEST MAIN STREET AND WEST HIGH STREET.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1, The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus
property of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
All of the easement rights in a portion of a 20 foot wide east-west alley
situated east of the east line of Bolivar Street and between West Main Street
and West High Street; said alley being previously vacated, subject to
retention of easement rights, by Ordinance No. 11174 of the City of
Jefferson; said easement rights to be relinquished in that part of said 20 foot
vacated alley as more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Inlot 285, thence easterly along the
011 n rtherly lines of said Inlot 285 and Inlot 286, 134 feet; thence northerly, 20
o
feet, more or less, to a point on the southerly line of Inlot 282; thence

westerly along the southerly lines of said Inlot 282 and Inlot'281, 134 feet to
the southwest corner of said Inlot 281; thence southerly along the easterly
line of Bolivar Street, 20 feet, more or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the City
does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any
necessary legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground
described in Section 1.
Sectign 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval.
