THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
AN ORDINANCE OF PROPERTY.PORTIONS OF NORTH JEFFERSON CITY AS PARK P
AND ESTABLISHING
WHEREAS, following the flood of 1993, the City C ouncil of the City of Jefferson has
in the long-term best intere st of the City authorized the acquisition of residential and
commerci al property in North Jefferson City as a part of
a Comprehensive Flood Hazard
Mitigation Program; and

the Community Development Block Grant Progra m for acquisition of flooded lands and
damaged structures; and

Federal Regulations, Part 77,

community parks, greenways, trail co rridors, river access points, picnic grounds,
campgrounds, nature preserves, and community gardens, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson has successfully pursued and continues to pursue
the Flood Buyout Program to the degree that acquisition is substantially completed in
certain areas of N orth Jefferson City, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson desires to initiate reuse of certain acquired
properties later herein described in compliance with federal requireme nts and special
warrant deed restrictions.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, M ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section_1. That real property acquired through the Flood Buyout Program from
ca and
Travis H. and Kenneth L. Jenkins, DBA- Professional Phone Shop Communications
located adjacent to the intersection of the KATY Trail State Park and the former MKT Spur

Line; and real property acquired through the Flood Buyout Program located within an area
bounded by Cedar City Drive (Old Highway 63), Oil Well Roa d, and U.S. Highway 63-54,
