UNIFORM CLEANING CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered this day of 4A1_' 995, by and between
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City," and
z° Robinsons Cleaners, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor."
WHEREAS, The City is in need of obtaining cleaning services for City employees'
uniforms; and
: WHEREAS, Contractor is willing to enter into this Agreement with respect to his
employment and services upon the terms and conditions herein set forth,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it agreed as follows:

1. ,cope of Services. The scope of services for cleaning services for City employees
5 uniforms shall consist of the following:
.a a. Police Department uniforms, 401 Monroe Street
(1) Service will be provided thrge times per week with pick up at the Police
sus` Station, 401 Monroe Street.
(2) Clothes to be delivered on a rack with hangers.
(3) Emergency pick-up will be provided.
}~ f (4) Uniforms will be given military pleats.

(5) Uniforms to be returned within two working days after pick-up.
b. Planning&Code Enforcement(Anil Control Division),919 East Miller Street

(1) Employees will bring clothing to Contractor's place of business, and will
pick up clothing at place of business.
r (2) Clothes to be available within two working days after employee leaves
them with contractor.
C. Department of Transportation (Parking Division), 201 Madison Street.
:. (1) Service will be provided two times per week with pick-up at 201 Madison
Street.
(2) Clothes to be returned within two working days after pick-up.
R - (3) Uniforms will be given military pleats.
d. Transit Division, 820 East Miller Street.
(1) Service will be provided two times per week with pick-up at 820 East
E Miller Street.
(2) Clothes to be returned within two working days after pick-up.
e. City will provide identification on clothing when it is picked up at City's
buildings.

f. Contractor will be responsible for any damages to uniforms or other items

i. City will pay Contractor for the services rendered by Contractor under the terms
of this contract in accordance with the following schedule:
Shirts (long &short sleeve) $1.25 1;
Trousers $1.25
Jackets $2.50
Ties $ .50 ,
Caps $ .50
Sewing buttons, tears & rips $ .75 r

Cleaning Uniform Coats (Fire) $2.50
} 2. Contract Period. This contract shall be in effect from August 15, 1995 through August
14, 1996. With-the consent of both parties the contract shall be executed for two (2)additional `ryki
one (1)year periods.

' 3. Contract Amount. The total amount expended under this contract is estimated at
,e Fifteen Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Dollars ($15,470.00) in any one fiscal year.
4. Pa=en . Contract will submit an invoice or statement monthly with all charges listed

by department. Total numbers of shirts, pants, etc., will be listed on the statement by .
department. Invoices are to be submitted to the Finance Department, 320 East McCarty
Street,Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.
x.; 5. Assignment, The Contractor shall not assign any interest in this contract,and shall not
transfer any interest in the same (whether by assignment or novation), without prior written .;
consent of the City thereto. Any such assignment is expressly subject to all rights and ,
z remedies of the City under this agreement, including the right to change or delete activities w�
from the contract or to terminate the same as provided herein, and no such assignment shall
require the City to give any notice to any such assignee of any actions which the City may take
.; under this agreement, though City will attempt to so notify any such assignee.
En>r 6. lnden—mi Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City for any and all
rr damages, injuries, actions, costs, attorney's fees and other expenses whatsoever arising out of
the performance of said work whether the property or persons damaged are the servants and .;
employees of the Contractor or third parties in no manner connected with said work. t

C. Automobile Liability I_nsuranu in an amount not less than $1,000,000 for all
claims arising out of a single accident or occurrence and $100,000 for any one
person in a single accident or occurrence.

D. subcontracts - In case any or all of this work is sublet, the Contractor shall
require the Subcontractor to procure and maintain all insurance required in k 4,.;I;

E. The Certificates of Insurance furnished to the City showing proof of compliance . `

., 8. Failure to Perform. Should Contractor fail to provide services as set forth pursuant to
? this contract or fail to meet any of the contract provisions, this contract may be canceled at
k the sole option of the City upon giving five (5) days written notice to Contractor.
9. Cancellation. This contract shall be subject to cancellation by the City at any time ;n
following fifteen (15) days notice.
10. Successors and Assigns. All of the terms, covenants and agreements herein contained
shall be binding upon and shall inure to the benefit of successors and assigns of the respective :

Contract between the parties. These documents are as fully a part of the contract as if
attached hereto or repeated herein.
12. bj° tines. All notices, consents, authorizations, requests and statements hereunder class shall ted
be deemed to have been properly given if delivered by and Jefferson City, Missouri 65101,
States mail, postage prepaid, if to the City at 320 E. McCarty,
and if to the Contractor to 1204 Business Loop 70E, Columbia, MO 65201.
