AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING SECTION 7-52
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON PERTAINING TO MEMBERSHIP OF THE

rk BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 7-52 of the Code of the City of Jefferson is hereby amended
as follows:
{ Sec. 7-52. Members.
A. The historic preservation commission shall
Y; consist of seven (7) nine (9) members. Members shall
.T be residents of the City of Jefferson.

B. The term of office shall be three (3) years, with
one-third of the positions being available for

*' continue to serve until their successors shall have been
appointed and qualified.
' Y C. The mayor shall nominate persons to serve on
the commission on historic preservation, and the
appointment shall be confirmed by the city council. The
mayor, with a majority vote of the city council, may
remove any member of the commission for failure or
inability to attend meetings, or for other good cause
shown. A vacancy on the commission shall be filled by
appointment and approval in like manner for the
unexpired portion of term.
