AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING THE ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR A PORT ION OF OAKLEAF DRIVE. WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that in the City, have petitioned the owners of land adjacent to and abutting upon Oakleaf Drive the City Council to vacate a right-of-wa y; and WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenien ce the public or the citizens of the C ity to discontinue a portion of the right-of-way of Oakleaf Drive fcr public rY use as described in Section. I of this Ordinance; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Bection 1, The Council of the City of Jefferson, Miss ouri, hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a right-of-way a portion of Oakleaf Drive and forever vacate the following described right-of-wa y in said City: of a sixty (60) foot wide road A part known as "Oakleaf Drive" (formerly Meadow Lake Drive as described in Quit -Claim Deed of record in Book 263, Page 170, of 4.the Cole County Recorder's office), said sixty (60) foot wide road being situate in Northeast Quarter of Section 23, Township part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northe rt 44 North, Range 12 West, in the City of Jefferson, County of Cole, Miss ouri; said s ixty (60) foot Wide road being more particularly described as follows: From the southwest comer of the Southeast Q uarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 23; thence N87018'18"E along the quarter section line , 75.14 feet to the southeast comer of a parcel as described in Boo k 356, Page 984, of the Cole County Recorder's Office; thence N05003'14"W along the east line of said parcel in Book 356, Page 984, 178.08 feet to the northeast comer thereof, said northeast comer being on the south line of said sixty (60) foot wide road and the POINT OF BEGINNING for this description; thence continuing N 05003'1411w, 60.12 feet to a point on the north line of said sixty (60)foot wide road, said point Page 260, also being the southeast comer of a parcel as described in Book 214, of the Cole County Recorder's office; thence easterly along said north line the 71.48 feet; S58026'47"E, 107.01 fee following courses: N8602811311E, 7 t to the westerly line of U.S. Highway 54; thence S43015'41"W along the westerly line of said U.S. Highway 54, 61.27 feet to the aforementioned south line of said sixty (60)foot road; thence leaving the westerly of said U.S. H ighway 54 and westerly along said south line the following courses: N58026'47"W, 75.61 feet; S86028'13"W, 750.91 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. ,�l V.
