BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
ection 1. Chapter 30 Solid Waste), Section 30-7 Prohibited Practices), of the
Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended by the addition of subparagraph
(F) to read as follows:
Sec. 30-7.Prohibited practices. . 5 `
A. No person shall place or allow to be placed, any solid waste, other than paper, on any
property owned,occu fed,or controlled by him unless such materials are stored in a tightly enclosed
container. The user o the container shall cause the contents thereof to be emptied and removed from

the premises at least once each week.
B. No person shall lace,permit to be laced,or allow to exist or accumulate, outside of an

building on premises owned, occupied, or controlled by him, any paper unless it is confined in a � • .
manner to prevent its scattering by animals er the elements. '
C. No person shall burn any refuse or solid waste in this city except in an approved commercial-
type incinerator in compliance with all state and federal regulations,
n. D. No person shall place any solid waste on any public property or on any private property not ,
owned,occupied,or controlled b such person,even if the solid waste is in containers. l

E. No person shall interfere in any manner with solid waste collection and transportation a' ,
equipment,or with solid waste collectors in the lawful performance of their duties.
F. No person shall place any trash container or recycling bin on City right-of--way for more
than twenty-four(24)consecutive hours consistent with the day of collection.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
