AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING THE THIRTY-FOOT RIGHT-OF-WAY OF LEPAGE SCHOTT ROAD BETWEEN SKYVIEW DRIVE AND U.S.HIGHWAY 50-63. i WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the owners of land adjacent to and abutting the thirty-foot right-of-way of LePage Schott Road between Skyview Drive and U.S. Highway 50-63 in the City,have petitioned the City Council to vacate right-of-way; and WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the citizens of the City to discontinue the thirty-foot right-of-way of LePage Schott Road between Skyview Drive and U.S.Highway 50-63 for public use as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance; and WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the citizens of the City to discontinue a portion of the rights-of-way for public use as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: ! fff Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a right-of-way a portion of and forever vacate the following described right-of-way in said City: ` All that part of a thirty (30) foot wide strip of land in the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 44 North, Range 11 West, in the City of Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri, described in a conveyance of right-of-way dated f March 6, 1917,and recorded in Book 1, Page 338 of the Cole County Recorders Office that lies southerly of SKYVIEW DRIVE, westerly of CITY VIEW DRIVE and northerly of the northerly right-or-way line of U.S. HIGHWAY 50/63 and that is within the boundary of a tract conveyed to RE-LOCK PROPERTIES, L.L.C.,as per deed of record in Book 365, Page 900, of the Cole County Recorder's Office. Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property is hereby confirmed,as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri,and the Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to confirm the i reversionary rights of the owners of property abutting on the area vacated,as described in Section 1 of this ordinance, in the right-of-way vacated. 7 P� t Section 3.
