HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD12527 �j BILL NO. 96-81 _ PONSORED BY COUNCILMAN Vincent ent I ORDINANCE NO. i 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION WITH THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE FACILITIES ALONG THE FROG HOLLOW BRANCH OF WEARS CREEK. WHEREAS, The Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission has approved Project No. STP-3100(506)under the STP-Urban Program; and i WHEREAS, That this project is located within the municipal limits of the City of Jefferson. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a grant agreement on behalf of the City of Jefferson Parks and Recreation Commission with the Missouri Highway and :dTransportation Commission for pedestrian bicycle facilities along the Frog Hollow Branch of Wears Creek ating to Project No. STP-3100(506). Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval. PO Box 104567 Jefferson City, 'MO 65110 RE: Edgewood Drive Trail Project No. 21506 STP-3100(506) Dear Mr. Adrian: Enclosed please find three (3) copies of the contract for the above referenced project. Please execute the contracts, return them along with the Performance and Payment Bond(s), Certificate of Insurance, and Owner's and Contractor's Protective Liability Policy Binder. The Certificate of Insurance must be issued by the company affording coverage. Certification from a local agent is not acceptable without necessary documentation empowering and authorizing the agent to sign the surety's name. In addition, if an aggregate amount is specified, a statement of the amount of that aggregate available to date must also be included. By separate cover the Department of Public Works will issue a Notice to Proceed on the project. You must submit the above documents in correct form before you begin work.
