HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD-CC-2006-02ORDINANCE 2006- 02 An Ordinance Amending the Moab City land Use Code, Planned Unit Development , Section 17.66.050 to allow all weather, non -paved driveways and parking areas, approved by the Public Works Director, that service Planned Unit Developments with 3 or less dwellings units per acre. WHEREAS, the City of Moab supports Planned Unit Developments (PUD) that are designed safely, efficiently and reasonably; and, WHEREAS, the existing PUD Ordinance at 17.66.050.A.5 requirement for paved driveways and paved parking when development is three (3) dwelling units or less is excessive; and, WHEREAS, such an action would bring the treatment of driveways and parking spaces of Planned Unit Developments more in conformance with subdivision regulations where the lots are % acre or larger. NOW THEREFORE the City of Moab amends the PUD Ordinance 17.66.050 as follows: All parking spaces, parking areas and driveways must be hard surfaced for Planned Unit Developments with a density greater than three (3) dwelling units per acre. All Parking areas and driveways must be properly drained with no drainage across public or private walkways. Hard surface shall be paved concrete, asphalt or other pavement systems that perform similarly for the intended use as approved by the Public/works Director.
