Williamson Others in attendance: T. Whiteman B. McCarty J. Drips A. Laidlaw C. Jackson J. Townsley Minutes from the May 8, 1990 meeting were approved as written. New Business Clubhouse Construction: Laidlaw reported he was happy with the project thus far despite the spring weather conditions. there was a slight dispute with Rich Hormaechea of the McCall Golf Foundation with regard to extensions towards completion. The committee then discussed with Laidlaw a few recommended change orders. Change order #3 granted an 18 day extension to Lt. General for completion due to inclimate weather and change order delays. Rich Hormaecheas wife will do the carpet and interior decor, therefore; Lt. General has given back six days. A total of 12 days has been awarded. Change order #4 has been attached. Williamson motioned to recommend to the City Council to approve change order #4. McCarty seconded, all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously. Change order #5 delt with the paving of the entrance to the clubhouse. There are concerns that due to the moisture beneath the surface and settling that may occur, the recommendation from the contractor is to wait until 1991. The committee agreed there may be some existing problems but would rather wait until there's a guarantee the road hasn't set up. Shelving for Pro Shop: The committee agreed there is limited shelving for storage and display in the pro shop. Any additional shelving hasn't been designed. Dan Hormaechea volunteered to discuss with other contractors the construction of shelves, hangers, etc., and their costs. Hormaechea will report back to the committee. Laidlaw will do a rough design to be circulated among local contractors and the project supervisor. Clubhouse Landscaping: Drawings were submitted by Kevin Grove of High Mountain Nursery. He will coordinate with the McCall Golf Foundation. Clubhouse Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: The committee discussed possibilities when the clubhouse is completed. Members of the committee, City Council, and the McCall Golf Foundation should be involved. No Formal plans were made. Lifetime Pass Cards: Hormaechea motioned to pay bill for $351.00 to Security Printers, Inc. for the printing of 100 lifetime passes. A11 were in favor. The motion passed unanimously. Pepsi -Cola Five Year Contract: The committee discussed a five year contract with Pepsi -Cola in exchange for coolers, fountains, etc. The estimated cost for installation and equipment alone totals $4000. If Pepsi -Cola does not honor their maintenance on equipment the contract is void. Furthermore, Pepsi -Cola has asked that their logo be on the scoreboard sign. the committee will review the logo and its appearance on the board. Williamson motioned the city and committee must approve the design of the scoreboard and logo before construction. McCarty seconded, all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously. Spring Men's Association Meeting: The men's association discussed several topics but most openly discussed the rerouting of the new holes. Williamson reported the men's association unanimously agreed with the committee's routing of the new holes. If the routing doesn't work, holes could be rearranged and a new route could be incorporated. The meeting adjourned at 10;15 P.M. The next meeting was set for July 10, 1990 at 7:00 P.M. at City Hall. O. Box 187 McCall, Idaho 83638 Attn: Dave Engen - Max Williamson Re: Foundation's Position on Contribution to Clubhouse Dear Dave and Max: Pursuant to our meeting with you in Andy Laidlaw's office on Friday June 15th, the Foundation has a committment to contribute the $291,000 due to certain circumstances such as contractors' bids, proceeds from the bond being less than expected, change orders, etc. As we explained, the Foundation has no intentions of funding the clubhouse beyond that point due to obligations in other areas within the golf course. Although we are willing to assist you in getting the landscaping completed in some way, shape or form, we cannot contribute any more funds to the project. We do recommend the committee convince the city in hauling, at no cost, the 1300 yards of acipitional gravel needed for the parking lot and look into the bid for the paving of the entrance road. You should be able to save some money in these two areas. The Foundation feels that with some last minute efforts from your local golfers, you should end up with a great clubhouse that your community will enjoy for many years in the future. Very truly yours, Enes #:I_!! : 4_A:. lacano h=rd M. ormaechea
