This means that at least a quorum of the members of the public body will attend the meeting in person and members of the public are welcome to attend in person as well. Call to Order: 11:05 2. Meeting Participation Statement: Read by Commissioner Baran 4. Recording Statement: Read by Commissioner Baran S. Water Abatement Draft Policy: a. Email draft Water Abatement Policy and Water Abatement Application Form to the Water Commissioners to edit draft before May 5th meeting. 6. Review Tanks Painting Project Bid Results: a. Received eight bids from contractors to paint the interior and exterior of water tanks. i. Touch up will be on the interior and exterior of each tank. ii. Background check will need to be done on the winning bidder. :~iii. Scheduled work for late August and into the fall. 7. Superintendent's Report a. Flushing is going very well and being led by staff member Hannah Caliri b. Seasonal turn on requests are picking up and keeping staff busy. c. 2500' of pipe has been delivered for the Red Top Road water main installation d. Hydration Stations installed at the tennis courts on Underpass Road. i. The water department has received numerous emails from residents appreciating the hydration station. e. Barnstable County Round Table — Working with vocational schools to encourage students to come into public works. f. Robert Crowley retired = Leaving a Treatment Foreman position open at the water department i. Interviews to happen in the next couple of weeks to fill position. g. Hannah Caliri passed her D3 Exam. 8. Assistant Superintendent's Report: a. Assistant Superintendent Alex Provos is attending Barnstable County Round Table Meeting. 9. Office Manager's Report a. Mailed out reminder notices from February 15t billing statements. i. Outstanding balance just over $253,000 b. Office staff are currently working on project scanning and uploading all site plans to the cloud. i. Having site plans uploaded in the cloud will show field staff where the septic systems are located along with the water services, underground utilities, and overhead wires. 10. Approval of March Meeting Minutes a. March minutes will be reviewed on Friday, May 51h meeting. 11. One Time Reduced Rate a. 24gCaptain Dunbar L Leak in irrigation system during major renovation at property ii. 216,000 Gallons iii. Adjusted Amount: $607.68 +; • Motion by Commissioner Brown to approve one=time reduced rate request. • Motion 2"d by Commissioner Skidmore • Roll Call Vote: 3-0-0 12. For Your Information: N/A 13. Matters Not Reasonably Anticipated by the Chair: a. Commissioner Brown attended the Spring NEWWA Conference during a MassDEP Update Session. Proposed changes: i. Require water systems serving a population of greater than 10,000 to provide the CCR twice per year. The second delivery should include a 6 - month update if applicable (violation, action level exceedance (ALE), , new Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR) results). However, systems without violation, ALE, or no new information in the 6 - month period can resend the some report. ii. CCRs will include information on corrosion control efforts. 14.
