AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING CHAPTER
16 LICENSES, TAXATION & MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REG�UL& ONS OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY AUTHORIZING THE
ADDITION OF A TRADE SHOW EXHIBITOR LICENSE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 16-16 of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, pertaining to issuance of a single license to
more than one person is hereby amended to read as follows:
a) A license may be issued in the name of any corporation,
association or partnership or to any person in charge of a
trade show or exhibition lasting not longer than one week in
which various businesses and enterprises are invited to
participate and to display goods, wares and services for sale.
Any such license issued is done for the convenience of the
entity organizing the trade show and for the business license
office and shall not in any way affect the license fees
charged to participants. Any such license shall include
either on the face of the license, on the application form,
or on an attachment, a complete and accurate listing of all
exhibitors at the show. The listing shall show the full name,
address, telephone number, state tax identification number and
any annual city license number of each exhibitor.
Section 2. Section 16-13 of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended by the addition of the
following:
Trade Show Exhibitor, per day. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 5.00

Section 3. Section 16-17 of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, shall be amended by the addition of the
following sentence: "Nothing contained in this section shall be
deemed to require the holder of a business license to obtain
another license for the purpose of being an exhibitor at a trade
show within the City.11
Section 4 . There is hereby provided a transition provision
for any trade show already scheduled between the date of passage
and approval of this Ordinance and November 15, 1988. During this
period, any entity who organized a trade show may utilize either
the above provisions or procure a peddlers' license in the amount
of $75.00 for the entire show.
Section 5. Section 16-25 Transfer shall be amended to read
as follows:

No credit shall be given for any change in license classification,
nor shall a license issued under the provisions of this article be
transferred from one person to another, nor shall such license be
issued to engage in business at a location other than that
specified on the license, without the consent of the finance
department.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
