AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A
CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES AT OAK TREE VILLA.
WHEREAS, by an easement dated March 31, 1981, and recorded in
Plat Book 264, Page 706, of the Records of Cole County, Missouri,
a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a Municipal
Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and
repair structures for the routing and conveyance of sewer in, under
and through the lots, tracts or parcels of land described in
Section 1;
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described
easement is surplus property of the City and is no longer needed
for any public purpose:
A strip of land 10 feet of even width across part of the
® Northwest Fractional Quarter of Section 3, Township 44 North,
Range 12 West, in the County of Cole, City of Jefferson,
Missouri; the centerline of said 10 foot strip being more
particularly described as follows:
From the northeast corner of the Northwest Fractional Quarter
of said Section 3; thence S 85 008107" W, along the Township
Line, 935 feet; thence S 04°51'53"E, 20.0 feet; thence S
85°08'07" W, 210.50 feet to the point of beginning for this
description; thence continuing S 85 008175" W, 284.50 feet;
thence S 7 010125" E, 607.1 feet to the northerly line of
Truman Boulevard and the point of termination for this
description.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby
relinquished, and the City does hereby release and abandon whatever
interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute any necessary legal document relinquishing all of the
City's interest in the tract of ground described in Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
