AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ELECTING THE LT-
8 PLAN FOR ITS BENEFIT PROGRAM IN THE MISSOURI LOCAL GOVERNMENT
EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR EMPLOYEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City hereby elects Benefit Program LT-81 one
and one-half percent (1 1/2%) in accordance with the provisions of
70.655 RSMo 1986, as amended.
Section 2. This election shall be effective on April 1, 1989.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify this election to
Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System within ten
(10) days after this ordinance has been passed and approved.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

Dear Ms. Cirtin:
We were pleased to receive your Ordinance #11160 in which the City of Jefferson
elected to participate in the LT-8 Benefit Program with regard to the Missouri Local
Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) .
As a result of your action the subdivision will begin participating in the LT-8
Benefit Program effective April 1, 1989 with the first month's contributions due the
system on or about May 12, 1989 with the updated, computerized report. Your new
employer rate to be effective April 1, 1989 is as follows:

Police 3.60% 8.40% 0.30% 12.30%
Your new employer rate to be effective November 1, 1989 is as follows:
General 1.80% 6.80% 0.30% 8.90%
Police 5.30% 6.50% 0.30% 12.10%
The above rates will replace the rates previously given in the actuarial valuation
dated February 29, 1988.
