AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING CERTAIN
PROPERTY LOCATED ON CEDAR STREET TO BE SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE
SALE OF SAID PROPERTY TO ADJOINING PROPERTY OWNERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described
real estate is surplus property of the City and is no longer needed
for any public purpose:
The Northeasterly part of Inlot No. 826, in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of said Inlot No. 826;
thence Southerly with the Easterly Line of said Inlot No. 826,
along Monroe Street, 40 feet 4 1/2 inches; thence Westerly
parallel with the Northerly Line of said Inlot No. 826, 54
feet; thence Northerly parallel with Monroe Street, 40 feet
4 1/2 inches to the city alley; thence Easterly along said
alley 54 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Subject to an easement eight (8) feet of even width across the
above described parcel, said easement to be retained by the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the purpose of street right-
of-way; said eight (8) foot strip being more particularly
described as follows: i
The Northeasterly part of Inlot No. 826, in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of said Inlot No. 826;
thence Southerly with the Easterly Line of said Inlot No. 826,
along Monroe Street, 40 feet 4 1/2 inches; thence Westerly
parallel with the Northerly Line of said Inlot No. 826, 8
feet; thence Northerly parallel with Monroe Street, 40 feet
4 1/2 inches to the city alley; thence Easterly along said
alley, 8 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Section 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City are
hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to
sell to the adjoining property owners, Raymond F. Caspari, Jr. , and
Patricia Deanne Caspari, husband and wife; and Reginald F. Evers
and Marilyn Evers, husband and wife; the rights to the property
described in Section 1 of this Ordinance in return for the
consideration set out in Section 3 .
Section 3. In consideration for the purchase of said real
estate, the adjoining property owners agree pay the sum of
$3,870.00 and to convey to the City an easement two (2) feet of
even width across a part of Inlot No. 826, in the City of
Jefferson, said easement shall be for right-of-way purposes; being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of said Inlot No. 826;
thence Westerly with the Southerly Line of said Inlot No. 826,
along Dunklin Street, 2 feet; thence Northerly parallel with
Monroe Street, 158 feet 4 1/2 inches; thence Easterly parallel
with the Northerly Line of said Inlot No. 826, 2 feet; thence
Southerly with the Easterly Line of said Inlot No. 826, along
Monroe Street, 158 feet 4 1/2 inches to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval. �5
