AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING RIGHT-OF-WAY ON AN EAST-WEST ALLEY LYING BETWEEN HIGH
STREET AND MAIN STREET, BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY BOLIVAR STREET AND
ON THE EAST BY HARRISON STREET.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, that the owners of land adjacent to and
abutting upon an east-west alley lying between High Street and Main
Street bounded on the west by Bolivar Street and on the east by
Harrison Street in the City, have petitioned the City Council to
vacate right-of-way; and,
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not
inconvenience the public or the citizens of the City to discontinue
a portion of the right-of-way of said alley as is described in
Section 1 of this Ordinance:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue
as a right-of-way on an east-west alley right-of-way lying between
High Street and Main Street bounded on the west by Bolivar Street
and on the east by Harrison Street, and forever vacate the
following described right-of-way in said City:
All that part of a 20 foot east-west alley right-of-way lying
between High Street and Main Street bounded on the west by
Bolivar Street and on the east by Harrison Street, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Inlot 281 thence easterly
along the southerly line of Inlots 281-284 to the southeast
corner of Inlot 284 ; thence southerly along the extension of
the westerly right-of-way line of Harrison Street to the
northeast corner of Inlot 288 ; thence westerly along the
northerly line of Inlots 285-288 to the northwest corner of
Inlot 285; thence northerly- along the extension of the
easterly right-of-way line of Bolivar Street to the point of
beginning.
Section 2 . All of that portion of the above vacated property
is hereby retained as a perpetual easement or right-of-way for the
construction, maintenance, repair, relocation and operation of
sanitary sewers, surface water drainage, and all public utility
facilities, and no permanent buildings or structures shall be
located within or upon said easement without the prior written
consent of the City.
Section 3. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of
the abutting property is hereby confirmed as is provided by the
laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor and the Clerk of the
City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments
required to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of
property abutting on the area vacated, as described in Section 1
of this Ordinance, in the right-of-way vacated.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.

REPORT
ON
FINAL PLATS
RE: Request filed by Central Missouri Professional Services
on behalf of the Frank Landwehr Trust, Frank J. and
Mildred A. Landwehr, Trustees, for approval of a final
plat of Landwehr Hills Subdivision - Section 17.
This ten-lot single family residential subdivision is to be
served by a short cul-de-sac street which connects to Scenic
Drive. The improvement plans for the subdivision have been
approved by the Department of Public Works.
This plat conforms to the approved preliminary plat and has
been approved by the Departments of Public Works and Planning and
Code Enforcement.
At its meeting of January 14 , 1988, the Jefferson City
Planning and Zoning Commission recommended by unanimous vote that
this plat be approved.
RE: A request filed by Central Missouri Professional
Services on behalf of Mr. Ted Stewart for the approval
of a final plat of the Southridge Mall Subdivision.
This nine-lot commercial plat is located on both sides of
Bubba Lane which is a paved public street. The improvement plans
for the subdivision have been approved by the Department of
Public Works.
This plat has been reviewed by the Departments of Planning
and Code Enforcement and Public Works. It meets all requirements
of the Subdivision Regulations. At its meeting of January 12 ,
1989 , the Jefferson City Planning and Zoning Commission
recommended by unanimous vote that this plat be approved.
