ORDINANCE NO. / l / 82,
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING RIGHT-OF-WAY ON A PORTION OF SEVEN HILLS ROAD AND
AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF SAME TO ADJOINING PROPERTY OWNERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, that the owners of land adjacent to and
abutting upon a the property described as follows have petitioned
the City Council to vacate right-of-way; and,
Part of the Northeast of the Southeast and part of the
Southeast of the Northeast Quarter, all in Section 20,
Township 44 North, Range 11 West, in the County of Cole,
Missouri; being more particularly described as follows:
From a point of the Westerly side of Bald Hill Road, said
point being 20 feet South of the South Line of Outlot 112
® of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and 480 feet West of
the East Line of said Section 20, said point also being
the Northeast corner of a tract as described in Book 238,
Page 799, of the Cole County Recorder's Office; thence
S87 0 06121 11W along the North Line of said tract in Book
238, Page 799, 20. 00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING for
this description; thence continuing S87 006121 11W along
said North Line, 368. 15 feet; thence leaving said North
Line on a bearing of N75°08159"E, 168. 95 feet; thence
N87 0 06121 11E, 179. 13 feet; thence S37 002117 11E, 42 .29 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing in all, 0.220 acres.
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not
inconvenience the public or the citizens of the City to discontinue
a portion of the right-of-way of said alley as is described in
Section 1 of this Ordinance:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue
as a right-of-way for a public street and forever vacate the
following described street right-of-way:
Part of the Northeast of the Southeast and part of the
Southeast of the Northeast Quarter, all in Section 20,
Township 44 North, Range 11 West, in the County of Cole,
Missouri; being more particularly described as follows:

Line on a bearing of N75 008159"E, 168.95 feet; thence
N87 0 06121 11E, 179.13 feet; thence S37 002117 11E, 42 .29 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of
the abutting property is hereby confirmed as is provided by the
laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor and the Clerk of the
City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments
required to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of
property abutting on the area vacated, as described in Section 1
of this Ordinance, in the right-of-way vacated.
Section 3 . The Mayor and' City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute a Quit Claim Deed transferring any and all interest the
City may have in the above described real estate to Dale C.
Doerhoff and Ruth A. Doerhoff.
Section 4 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
