AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING CERTAIN
PROPERTY LOCATED ON SEVEN HILLS ROAD TO BE SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING
THE SALE OF SAID PROPERTY TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER.
WHEREAS, The property described in Section 1 was acquired with
certain other property in order to obtain necessary right-of-way
for improvements to Seven Hills Road; and
WHEREAS, The property described in Section 1 is no longer
needed for right-of-way purposes and would represent a burden on
the City if retained; and
WHEREAS, The property has been advertised for sale and Tim
Kiesling was the successful bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described
real estate is surplus property of the City and is no 'longer needed
for any public purpose:
The easterly part of Lots Nos. 28, 29, 30 and 31 of Herron's
Seven Hills Subdivision of part of the West half of the
Southeast quarter of Section 20 and the Northwest quarter of
the Northeast quarter of Section 29, Township 44, Range 11,
per plat of record in Plat Book 4, page 90, Cole County
Recorder's Office, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northerly line of said Lot No. 28,
which is the southwest corner of Lot No. 26 of said Herron's
Seven Hills Subdivision; thence southerly in a direct line,
to a point on the southerly line of said Lot No. 31, which is
145 feet easterly from the southwesterly corner of said Lot
No. 31; thence easterly along the southerly line of said Lot
No. 31, to the southeasterly corner thereof; thence northerly
along the easterly line of Lots Nos. 31, 30, 29 and 28, to the
northeasterly corner of said Lot No. 28, at the southeasterly
corner of Lot No. 27 of said Herron's Seven Hills Subdivision;
thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot No. 28,
being the southerly line of Lots Nos. 27 and 26, 185 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning.
Subject to an easement along the easterly 50 feet of said Lots
Nos. 28, 29, 30 and 31, as described in Book 220, pages 653
and 654, Cole County Recorder's Office.

Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to sell
to the highest bidder, Tim Kiesling, the rights to the property
described in Section 1 of this Ordinance together with certain
personal property and structures located on Lots 26 and 27 of
Herron's Seven Hills Subdivision.
Section A. The contract for sale shall be substantially the
same as that attached hereto as exhibit A.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
