AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING,
AMENDING, AND MODIFYING THE ZONING NAP OF THE ZONING CODE OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, BY REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED IN WHAT WAS
FORMERLY CEDAR CITY TO CONFORM TO THE ORIGINAL ZONING PLAN
RECOMMENDED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, a Council amendment to the original Cedar City zoning plan
was passed on June 19, 1989, allowing a strip of land to
be zoned Rural Conservation rather than General Commercial
and Single Family as per the recommended zoning plan; and
WHEREAS, the Council now believes that the original plan as
proposed by the Planning and Zoning Commission was correct
without amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Council now wishes to reinstate zoning as shown in the
original plan illustrated by Attachment A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The amendment to Bill 89-44, Ordinance No.
11250, which provided for the change to RC, Rural Conservation
zoning from RS-4, Single Family, and C-2, General Commercial for
the strip from the [then] existing City limits of Jefferson City
for a distance of 300 feet west of highway right-of-way, north to
within 400 feet south to Cedar City Drive, is repealed.
Section 2. The original zoning plan as recommended by the
Planning and Zoning Commission for Cedar City is adopted in its
entirety, which plan includes RS-4 and C-2 zoning for the land
described in Section 1. This plan shall be exactly as shown in
Attachment A, "A Recommended Zoning Plan for Cedar City".
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
