ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING SECTION
2-661 OF CHAPTER 2, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, CONCERNING THE CABLE QUALITY COMMISSION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 2, Section 2-661, subsection (a) of the
Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is amended to read as
follows:
(a) The commission shall be comprised of seven (7) members,
all of whom shall be registered voters residing in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri. Six (6) of these members shall be appointed
by the Mayor from the citizens at large with the approval of the
city council. At least one (1) member shall be appointed from each
ward. One (1) member shall be appointed by the Mayor from the
members of the city council, with approval of the council. The
council member so appointed shall serve a one (1) year term.
Initial terms of the other members shall be as follows:
Two (2) members to serve for a one (1) year term;
Two (2) members to serve for a two (2) year term;
Two (2) members to serve for a three (3) year term;
Thereafter, the six (6) commission members selected from the
citizens at large shall serve full three-year terms. Any vacancies
on the commission shall be filled by appointment and approval in
like manner for the unexpired term. All members shall continue to
serve until their successors shall have been appointed and
qualified.
Section 2._ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
